  2. a) When Visiting the Website

When you access our website, the browser on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • Date and time of access,
  • Name and URL of the file accessed,
  • Website from which access occurred (referrer URL),
  • Browser used and, if applicable, your computer’s operating system, as well as the name of your Internet service provider.

We process the data listed above for the following purposes:

Our website uses the Plausible Analytics service, an open-source analytics software that we host ourselves and that operates without cookies. This service records the IP address, the referrer URL (i.e., the website from which you accessed our website), technical data about your browser, and the operating system of your device. The service uses this data to statistically analyze the number of visitors to our website and how it is used, and generates aggregated reports that allow us to design and improve our website to better meet user needs.

Your IP address is immediately anonymized by combining it with a random, changing value (known as a “salt”) to create a so-called hash value. We cannot associate the hash value with any individual person. The hash value is also not disclosed to third parties.

The legal basis for this data processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interests lie in further developing the website and adapting it to the needs and habits of visitors, as well as identifying which content is not yet fully functional, is not designed to meet visitors’ needs, or contains technical errors.
